The treatment methods for the fin rot of betta fish mainly include medication treatment, water quality management, and dietary adjustment.

Medication Treatment
Yellow Powder (Nitrofurazone): Add 15mg of yellow powder to each liter of water. After changing 30% of the water every day, replenish the medicine, and use it continuously for 7 days.
Potassium Permanganate Bath: Soak the fish alone in a solution made by dissolving 1 gram of potassium permanganate in 50 liters of water for 20 minutes. Observe the fish's reaction throughout the process. It is prohibited to use it for scaleless fish.
Oxytetracycline: Put 0.5 grams of oxytetracycline into every 100 liters of water, and at the same time, raise the water temperature to 30°C, which can increase the efficacy of the medicine by 40%.
Sterilizing Water or Yellow Powder: Use bacterial treatment drugs such as sterilizing water or yellow powder. Change the water and replenish the medicine after 2 to 3 days.
Water Quality Management
Keep the Water Quality Clean: Change the water regularly, and properly treat the new water to avoid the water quality being too acidic or too old.
Raise the Temperature: Raise the water temperature to 28-30°C to help the betta fish recover.
Change the Water: Replace part of the water with new water every day to keep the water quality clean.
Dietary Adjustment
High-Protein Feed: Increase the amount of high-protein feed to promote the healing of the wounds.
Vitamin B2: Add vitamin B2 to the feed to promote the recovery of the fish.
