Betta fish prefer live foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, red wigglers (tubifex worms), and water fleas. These live foods are not only rich in nutrients but also satisfy the betta fish's preference for live prey.
Brine Shrimp: Brine shrimp are widely distributed in salt pans or salt lakes. They are highly nutritious and suitable as the first food for betta fry. Their winter eggs can be dried and stored in cans for a long time, and the hatching process is relatively simple.

Red Wigglers (Tubifex Worms): Red wigglers live in the mud along the banks of rivers or at the bottom of rivers. They are highly nutritious and are a favorite food of fish like goldfish and koi. They also make excellent food for betta fish.
Bloodworms: Bloodworms are a general term for several species of aquatic annelids with bright red bodies. They are often used to feed tropical fish, including betta fish.
Water Fleas: Water fleas are planktonic animals in fresh water. They are rich in yolk and nutrients, making them suitable for betta fish to eat.
In addition, in the wild, betta fish mainly feed on moving live foods. Therefore, in an artificial breeding environment, paramecia, vinegar eels, and other small organisms can be selected as the first food for young betta fish. As they grow, they can gradually be transitioned to artificial fish feed.
